DESCRIPTION: APW - Waltham, split-seconds chronograph, Model 1874, at least 17J, 14S, heavy 18K gold OF original A.W.Co. case with small Jürgensen-style lips, gold cuvette, glazed observational mvt cover, white enamel SS dial, SW-LS, fishscale pattern nickel damascene, s#1279269. Gross weight of assembled watch 84.9 dwt (132.0 g).
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, good chronograph and split-seconds function, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, plates with some scattered nicks, micro-fine scratches, and small surface spots, very minor oxide to steelwork; dial with hl at 1, some scattered fine surface scratches; fine hands, hour appears possibly upside down, minute and upper sweep hand appear to have had plum colored ink applied; case shows light wear, subtle dent and some associated small nicks nicks to upper-left rear edge and adjacent portion of band, reduced engine turning detail with a ring of full loss around shoulder; tight bow, crown shows medium wear; good glass crystals.
